In March 2020 we sent the European Commission a feedback in respect to the preparation of a new framework for national Roma inclusion strategies.

In its decision of 21 January 2020, the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic found a violation of the right of our NGO as the plaintiff in an anti-discrimination dispute concerning the alleged discrimination of Roma children in education, to hear a case within a reasonable time.

The Regional Court in Košice as appeal court by its decision from 20 November 2019 confirmed compensation for an illegally sterilized Roma woman in the full claimed amount of over EUR 16,000.

On 28 January 2020, the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg announced its judgment in a case A.P. against Slovakia. The Court found violation of the applicant's right to protection from cruel and inhuman treatment under Art. 3 of the European Convention.

By its decision of 7 March 2018, the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic confirmed that the right to hear a case within a reasonable time has been violated in actio popularis proceededing concerning discrimination that was initiated by our NGO.

At the hearing on 4 December 2019 the Košice II District Court again acquitted the police officers accused of abusing Roma boys at a police station in Košice in March 2009. According to the court, neither the additional evidence proved that the incident took place as alleged by the indictment of the prosecution.

The UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights called upon the Slovak government to adopt multiple specific measures to improve the production of human rights in Slovakia.

In August 2019 we submitted an alternative report to the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights that provides information about ongoing shortcoming in the implementation of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights in relation to Roma ethnic minority in Slovakia.
