The quality of court`s and administrative bodies decision-making in cases of discrimination in Slovakia remains insufficient and discriminated persons approach them only rarely. The project aims to contribute to improving decision-making practice in this area through the active use and development of the method of situational testing for uncovering dicrimination in access to goods and services in legal practice. This method can significantly improve proving discrimination in legal proceedings and thus access to justice for discriminated persons. By this project we want to contribute the better realisation the right to equal treatment in the country.

Within the project we will conduct monitoring of racial discrimination cases and will litigate strategic court cases in this regard. We will also analyze the use of the method of situational testing to effectively prove discrimination in practice.

The project is implemented from 1 June to 31 December 2019.

Realized with the financial support of the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic within the subsidy program to promote, support and protect human rights and freedoms and to prevent all forms of discrimination, racism, xenophobia, anti-Semitism and other expressions of intolerance.
